Changes to the
Yate Remembrance Day Arrangements

on Sunday 8th November 2020

Yate Town Council, in consultation with St Mary’s Church and The Royal British Legion, has sadly taken the decision that the Remembrance Day Public Parade and Service will not be able to take place this year due to Covid 19 government restrictions and to avoid any large gatherings for the safety of the public. Instead, there will be a very small service at St Mary’s Church with invited representatives from the Yate community attending. The Remembrance Service will be live streamed from 10.30am on Sunday 8th November 2020 and the Act of Remembrance at the Lych Gate can be viewed form 12.00 noon:
Please support the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. Poppies will be on sale in the foyer of Tesco’s at Yate Shopping Centre.
If you would like to pay your respects, there will be an opportunity to
lay wreaths at the Lych Gates from 12 noon throughout the day on
Sunday 8th November. Please maintain social distancing.
