What is Thy Kingdom Come?

21st - 31st May

Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray for more people to come to know Jesus. What started in 2016 as an invitation from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York to the Church of England has grown into an international call to prayer.

This year is different due to the Lockdown

Find out how to get involved in Yate Parish below

Outside the door of each church there will be a box. Inside the box there are some booklets and stickers. These guides for a reflective prayer walk around the four churches of Yate Parish.

It is a type of pilgrimage prayer where we think and pray as we walk. In the booklets are four reflections to guide you as you walk between the churches.

In the box there are stickers which you can collect from each church and place on the back of the guide which is yours to keep.

Please use the hand gel and wipes to keep yourself and others safe when opening the box

Remember to keep social a distance of 2m throughout the pilgrimage

Reflective Walk in Lockdown runs from Thursday 21st May till Sunday 31st May

Light up The world

21st -31st May

This year Thy Kingdom Come will have to be done differently. Over the last few years, we registered as a parish to light up our churches. This year we are asked to register to light up our homes.

Click here to register your home as a place of prayer, this is a symbolic way of demonstrating that we are still the Church the people of God even if the building is closed.

There is a little down arrow on the bottom of the map, click this and then fill in the form so your home will be lit up.
