A Fab Day at Acts of Eden Youth Event

Last Saturday around 30 young people came together for the Acts of Eden youth event. This event was a joint venture between Yate, Fromeside and Zion United Church.

The young people spent the afternoon involved in various ecological activities encouraging care for the environment. This time we focused on encouraging the reduction of plastic waste in our environment We made and Altar cloth, planted pansies in plastic bottles, litter picking, handing out reusable bags at Yate shopping centre, making a collage out of used plastic and even short films.

The afternoon ended with a service focusing on the environment and a meal together.

Finally in the evening there was fun with games and sumo wrestling in foam sumo suits.
