The Christmas Trees have all gone but wonderful memories live on...along with the pine needles!
The Festival planning group would like to take this opportunity to say a HUGE thank you to everyone – visitors, volunteers, sponsors and entertainers - who helped to make our fourth Christmas Tree Festival the best yet.
There were fifty trees, which were sponsored and individually decorated by local residents, schools and businesses that filled the church with their fragrance and beauty, each one telling a different story.
The Festival programme started with a special concert by the pupils of St Mary’s School and a formal opening by the Bishop of Bristol and extended through the week with a truly amazing and diverse variety of musical entertainment…Rock Choir, School Choirs, Wind Band, dancing and many others. On many
occasions the church was full to capacity, with standing room only at two concerts.
Thanks to everyone’s generosity we will be sharing over £1,500 between St Peter’s Hospice and St Mary’s church for their
ongoing work in the community
