January 29th St James DCC decisions list

1.To maintain transparency, the DCC will publish the minutes in church. Any decisions will have a time scale and the name of the person responsible.

2.Church Wardens to meet with Clergy every 3 months and be encouraged to contribute. This will be to decide details and times of celebrations and events. JP and MM TO attend

3.Train new Sacristans by clergy 

4.People to be trained to welcome people coming to services

4. DCC agreed to highlight Sacred space. MM to investigate. DCC opinions to be sought. To be in place by Easter. 

5. Six month trial to divide church area into smaller areas and to have designated Carers to visit possible vulnerable people. All to be DBS checked first. To start when areas agreed and everyone checked and given guidance. 

6.Norma and Wully will welcome new Sacristans, and pray for them at end of Service

Will encourage Readers.

Norma to give delivery tips and offer to advise new Readers. In place by July.

Hywel to look at rules re buying a PAT tester to share with the other church's.

HS Will put these decisions to the Finance Committee. 

HS To speak to Chris Wilmore regarding need for archeology report if more information supplied.
