Lent 2022
Lent / Taster Sessions
During the pandemic, we have been separated from each other and from Church. This Lent we have decided to focus on loving our church community. We are basing our Lent groups on 'Love Your Church' by Tony Merida
• We have 6 Home Groups meeting on Zoom or in person, at different times of the week. Details of the home groups are on yateparish.org/homegroups
• We are holding Taster Sessions for those who have not been to a home group before to experience what it is like

Reflective Walks
This year we are experimenting with some different and more creative ways of observing Lent, one of which will be a series of reflective walks where we will chat about the book "Love your Church' while enjoying a walk together. The walks will begin on Wednesday 9th March and will happen every Wednesday for the next six weeks, finishing on the Wednesday of Holy Week. We will meet at the Lych Gate for St. Mary's Church at 3.30pm to hear a brief introduction to the theme for the week and be given the questions that we are going to discuss as we walk. We will then set off together and chat as we go along.
The walks will take approximately one hour and will return to St. Mary's Church. They will be different each week. Dogs are very welcome although will not be expected to join in the chat!
